Hey Parents,
We like to update you on what
your children are doing in class. We hope this will allow you to know what each
class is doing, assist with practicing and make your dancing at RME even
better! Thank you for all you do to support us and your children!
Premiere: Premiere is working on MANY things, as usual!
We are finishing up formation line so we can compete
it at St. George with everyone. We've started an a cappella dance, and
will keep chugging along on that. (no pun intended :)
well, maybe there was...) Everyone should also know all 5 Pro Solos now,
which I should remind you that you are supposed to compete
all 5! Also, everyone is required to do a duet of some kind, and with St.
George less than 8 weeks away, those better happen fast! In addition to
that we are working on cleaning all of our other dances. We made some big
formation changes to Rhythm Nation this week, so I hope you all remember
those!!!
Sensations: Sensations just finished the Pro Percussion Solo, so
they have learned 4 of the Pro solos this year. During the next month I
will assign them to learn the Pro Traditional at home. We are also
working on a new Formation Line dance to "Just Can't Get Enough" (for
you 80's fans). We are still working on cleaning their Standing Line and
Show as well. By they way, don't forget to check your team blog!
FX: FX just finished the Championship Line solo, so they
now know 3 of the Champ solos! We are also learning a new "Precision"
dance (or couple dance). This month we will be focusing on our freestyles
a bit more to have them ready for competition, as well as cleaning our line
dance. Don't forget to check your team blog to
stay updated!
Lightning: Lightning just finished learning the Advanced
Percussion solo. (A few dancers missed the last step, so you'll want to
pull out the DVD and go over it!) They now know 3 advanced solos!
We are also having a GREAT time learning their new "James Bond" dance!
Please check the team blog regularly to practice what
we've learned!
Power: Power has completed two dances - Traditional Line
and Boom Boom Pow. We'll
actually compete them both in Champ and Pro! We have
learned three solos and are learning the 4th. We also started our new Precision.
Power Rocks. Talk about practicing dancers. Great!
Unlimited: Unlimited has completed two dances - Traditional
Line and Express Yourself. Just starting our 3rd dance -
Celebration. Long live the 80's. It's fun to teach such amazing ladies.
Storm: Can you believe it, we
almost have two dances done before March! We will finish Mercy this week and
continue on our 3rd dance. We have almost learned two solos and are
excited for our new dance from the 50's! Lots of energy in this class
Stompers:
Boys rule. No girls allowed. We have one dance done, one starting and one solo
done too. We're really gelling and getting ready to compete. We have our
freestyles ready as well as one solo and are starting our new dance and new
solo.
Extreme: An amazing group of 7 dancers. We work hard to
polish and improve our stepwork Dan dance louder! We
have one dance done, one solo done and are starting the second solo and dance.
We have our freestyles ready too! Gotta love this
team
Dynamite: Talk about energy! Whoo hoo! We really make the hour go by fast as we learn so
much! Just completed our first dance with new formations,
completed our solo and are working on the Traditional solo as well as
almost ready to do the clog down! Go
Kickers: Kickers are working on their second dance which they Are all excited about. We are also learning the line solo.
Keep working hard you're doing great!!! :)
Hot
Shots: We started our new dance, The
Other Side of Me, after Christmas and we are about half way done. We are still
practicing the intermediate line and percussion solos.
Minis:
We are working on our second
dance "Lollipop." They are doing great!
Razzmatazz: We have
finished our first dance and are learning our second dance. We are about
halfway done with it. We are also practicing freestyle and the beginning line
solo every week.
Rhythm:
They have been working hard this
first month of clogging. They are almost finished with their first dance
and have learned chugs, Double Steps, Singles, Triples, and even the
Grapevine. You know they got Rhythm
Stars: have finished their "I'm a believer" dance
and are now working on speeding up the music and doing the steps even faster!
They are also in the process of learning a new dance! They are working so
hard!
